06 Jul The Bloom Workshop at Bieker Farms
Hey Everyone! We hope you all had an amazing weekend celebrating America’s birthday! To get you back into the swing of things, we are sharing with you our experience attending The Bloom Workshop that we went to at the end of May. The workshop took place at Bieker Farms in Ada, MI, which made our time at there even more exciting due to its’ beautiful venue barns and nature surroundings. It was such an awesome learning experience for us. If you haven’t heard of them, the Bloom Workshops are amazing educational events that cover a wide range of topics… From seminars on blogging and social media to photography, styling, floral design and calligraphy. The workshops are for any creative out there who wants to take their blog or their business to the next level. Whether you’re starting a business, continuing education, or just looking for a place to have fun and network with others who are on a similar journey such as yours, this is the place for you! We made the decision to invest more in our newly launched business with the hopeful outcome to further the growth of Great Lakes Love. Michaela and Ashley are the founders and faces of bloom. They are great educators, down to earth, intelligent, and truthfully just plain sweet. We loved the fact that continuing education for our business could not only be resourceful, but so dreamy and so much fun!
We spent the whole day at Bloom. Our morning started out with a nice little breakfast with coffee and tea. We were able to to get settled, mingle with the other lovely ladies and look around at the gorgeousness that surrounded us. These mugs were an extra dose of happy while we drank our coffee.
In the afternoon portion of our day at Bloom, we were able to photograph and experience a styled shoot that had been set up…. and beautifully we might add.
Some words from Bethany:
One of my favorite parts of the day was a hands-on session where we were able to photograph the styled shoot that Michaela arranged. I have a nice Nikon DSLR camera, and I’ve used it quite a bit for family events and nature shots (and also mostly for my cats, I won’t lie) but my confidence with shooting any sort of wedding photography was pretty low. After the photography session, I felt more confident in my handling of my camera, and my ability to take a good photo. Of course, it totally helped that we had a beautiful set up to take pictures of.
All in all we truly had a great experience engaging ourselves and our business at The Bloom Workshop. Thank you to all of the wonderful vendors who worked so hard to make the day so special. And an extra thanks to Michaela and Ashley who put on such an all-encompassing and wonderful workshop.
x o x o,
Danielle & Bethany
